Isaiah 6:1-9<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

As you feel God there are steps we can take to go deeper into his midst:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1) Recognizing his power, his holiness and his glory<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah had a vision of the Lord enthroned around the praises of heaven. Immediately he recognizes God’s awesome glory, holiness and power. The Hebrew word for holy in verse 3 means separated and unapproachable. The Hebrew word for glory means God’s authority, greatness, and weighty presence. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>6\u00a0In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the\u00a0Lord\u00a0sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 2\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 3\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the\u00a0Lord\u00a0of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 4\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Recognizing our own sinful conditions (anything that hinders us to God)<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once he is in the presence of the glory he realizes he is undone in his presence and recognizes and acknowledges his own shortcomings. Because once you are in his glory all of your faults become visible and apparent.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/a> 5\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, theLord\u00a0of hosts.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Confessing our mistakes to God and asking for our forgiveness.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Confession always opens the way to grace and mercy. Only God can bring the purity he wants in us through Jesus Christ.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

      <\/a> 6\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:<\/span><\/p>\n

      <\/a> 7\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Once Isaiah is forgiven God then shares his need for a messenger.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        5) And once Isaiah hears the call he responds with surrendering to it. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

        Only after his cleansing did he receive his calling.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

        <\/a> 8\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.<\/span><\/p>\n

        <\/a> 9\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.<\/span><\/p>\n

        To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart to the love of God, and to devote the will to the purpose of God.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
