God was the light – Genesis 1:1-5<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a>1\u00a0In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 2\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 3\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 4\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 5\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The great light foretold – Isaiah 9:2<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 2\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.<\/span><\/p>\n

God gives us new light – 2 Corinthians 4:6 <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 6\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus is the light – John 8:12<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 12\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are the light – 1 Peter 2:9<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 9\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;<\/span><\/p>\n

We are to walk in light – Ephesians 5:8<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 8\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:<\/span><\/p>\n

We are to shine our light – Matthew 5:16<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 16\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

The darkness cannot prevail – John 1:5<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 5\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.<\/span><\/p>\n

All things in darkness are revealed in light – Mark 4:22<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/a> 22\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Others are converted when we shine – Acts 26:18<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> 18\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
