{"id":707,"date":"2011-01-22T10:46:40","date_gmt":"2011-01-22T15:46:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heartofgraceministries.com\/blog\/?p=707"},"modified":"2012-02-15T09:41:13","modified_gmt":"2012-02-15T14:41:13","slug":"small-thought-tear-down-your-inner-walls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heartofgraceministries.com\/blog\/life-lessons\/small-thought-tear-down-your-inner-walls\/","title":{"rendered":"Tear Down Your Inner Walls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Luke 5:16-26<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[<strong>16<\/strong>] And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.<br \/>\n[<strong>17<\/strong>] And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.<br \/>\n[<strong>18<\/strong>] And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.<br \/>\n[<strong>19<\/strong>] And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.<br \/>\n[<strong>20<\/strong>] And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.<br \/>\n[<strong>21<\/strong>] And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?<br \/>\n[<strong>22<\/strong>] But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?<br \/>\n[<strong>23<\/strong>] Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?<br \/>\n[<strong>24<\/strong>] But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.<br \/>\n[<strong>25<\/strong>] And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.<br \/>\n[<strong>26<\/strong>] And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.<\/p>\n<p>As I began to read this I saw three things that I needed to immediately put into my life. Jesus withdrew himself before he prayed. We have to began to allow ourselves to be mentally and physically separated from circumstances so that we can begin to pray with a clear mind and heart!<\/p>\n<p>This passage inspires me, because there were a few people that were willing to press pass the crowd of people that were in the way for the needs of SOMEONE ELSE. All I ever hear about anymore are about the needs of \u201cme, me, me\u201d. Sometimes people think that I am honestly crazy when I try to maintain the attitude of preferring my brother over myself. Have we got to such a place where we wouldn\u2019t tear down the tiles for our sick in body and mind?<\/p>\n<p>We have to begin to do some work on ourselves! Let\u2019s begin to tear down the inner walls (our inner man\/woman).\u00a0 Let\u2019s get past mine and your flesh! Let\u2019s get past the multitudes of problems and have faith and take action like they did to believe that the presence of God can begin to heal all of the broken pieces in your life!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luke 5:16-26 [16] And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
